Project Responsibilities

Mr. Murray serves as project manager, trail designer and architect. His work includes the documentation for several of CT&C’s completed trail projects. He has developed alternative designs, responding to client and public input, and has been responsible for the preparation of plans and innovative development scenarios with their related cost implications.

Key Experience

Mr. Murray has worked for the past twenty years as project architect and project manager on numerous bicycle and greenway trail related projects. As a result, he is very familiar with successfully handling demanding and complex assignments as were involved with assembling construction documents for several sections of the Schuylkill River Trail. He also applies his thorough knowledge and skill at resolving conflicting requirements to all of his projects.

Mr. Murray served as project manager for the once controversial, but now highly successful Radnor Multi-Use Trail in Delaware County., PA. He is quite familiar with the documentation requirements and project management techniques employed by PennDOT when working with a municipality. Mr. Murray also served as project architect for the design and construction of such  significant trails as the Perkiomen Trail, the Audubon Loop Trail and the Chester Valley Trail in the town center of Bridgeport PA. He is currently project manager for the restoration of the Towpath and Canal of the Schuylkill Navigation between Mont Clare and Port Providence and the restoration of the Norristown Freight Station at the junction of the Schuylkill River Trail and the Chester Valley Trail.

In addition to historic renovation and trail projects, Mr. Murray’s experience with municipally funded projects for new construction, such as the East Spring Avenue Modular Homes in Ardmore, PA, also enables him to work efficiently with the documentation requirements and project management techniques employed by a variety of funding sources.

Mr. Murray has also been responsible for cost estimating and tabulation of quantity spreadsheets for work performed by the firm.
