Schuylkill River Trail
Phoenixville, PA

Design and Construction of a Key Regional Link

Closing a Gap in a Thriving Trail Town

Campbell Thomas & Co. served on a project team with Ray Ott & Associates to prepare construction documents and assist in construction oversight for this key gap in the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT). The SRT is now open on the Montgomery County side of the Schuylkill River all the way to Philadelphia, and on the Chester County side from Parker Ford all the way through of Phoenixville, where it connects to the East Bank SRT at Bridge Street. This project closed the gap in the Trail.
Completed in 2013, the Trail now serves the vital downtown, the residential areas of the Borough, as well as providing a through route for hikers, bicyclists, shoppers, workers, students and the like. The Trail serves as a catalyst for the restoration of French Creek in Phoenixville, and the reuse of vacant industrial lands.
